As Independence Day weekend draws to a close, Michael Ramirez has his say.Perspective: The tax tyranny on the colonies was about 10%. Most of that was likely spent to protect the American colonies from enemies. Obama's tax policy is estimated to have a top rate of around 56% combined. That doesn't include state & local taxes on income plus sales taxes, user fees, property taxes etc. That 10% sent off to London with the promise of protection from Indians and foreigners is looking pretty good!
